College Green Bus Corridor

Dublin is changing. The new College Green Bus Corridor is part of that change. It will greatly improve traffic flow through the city centre for commuters, shoppers and visitors.

The College Green Bus Corridor is a natural progression in traffic management in Dublin City. It will create a bus corridor in the immediate vicinity of College Green during the morning peak traffic period from Monday to Friday.

The operational hours of the corridor are 07:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday inclusive.  During these periods, only public transport vehicles (buses and taxis) and bicycles, are permitted to travel through it.

The information leaflet (in the Downloads box to the right of this screen) demonstrates how shoppers, businesses, and commuters can maintain access to the College Green area.

It includes suggested alternative routes for traffic that would normally travel through the College Green area, and includes a list of public car parks, and indicates the best routes for accessing them.

Phase 6 - Daily Operations

Remember, Dublin City is open for all activities, and private motorists can access College Green as normal from 10:00 until 16:00 and from 19:00 until 07:00 the next morning.

We know that this scheme has taken some getting used to. But all of us will benefit in the longer term from better movement through the city centre.
