Watch out for Luas Cherrywood!

Luas Cherrywood (Sandyford to Brides Glen) is due to open by the end of 2010.The installation and energisation of the overhead cables is complete and these cables will be live from 12th May 2010. As with the existing Luas Green Line power for Luas trams comes through these cables which conduct electricity at 750 volts.

Part of the final phase of construction is testing the new Cherrywood extension by running Luas trams along it over the Summer.

Every cable you see is now live and will remain live. Keep clear of poles and cables for your own safety.
